Its been well over a month since I have even thought about updating my blog and having Jaxson's 4 month check up was just the thing to encourage me to update it! As you can see in the pictures he wasn't too thrilled with being weighed this time, he just wanted to be loved on! Today he weighed in at 15 lbs 3 ounces which is right where I figured he was at. He is also 24 and 3 quarters of an inch long, which puts him in the 54th percentile for weight and 43 percent for height. So basically he is not nearly as chunky as we thought he was and he is going to be shorter than his brother at the rate he is going now. He got two shots and some medication for the rotateq virus vaccination(which I had never heard of). All in all he was told he is a very healthy boy!
Some new things to know about him....he has finally discovered that laying on his belly is great and he can even rest his head(which by the way measured at 43 1/2, which is in the 78th percentile...he is going to be smart with that big brain). He has even learned how to inch forward, although he doesn't know where he is going to just yet and he can even turn all the way around 360 degrees although it takes time. He has learned how to roll over from his back to his belly although its rare when he does it and most of the time he will just roll to his side and stay the way. He seems to be having more trouble rolling from his belly to his back though, I think he is just comfortable laying on his belly that there is no point in going to his back!!! I also recently discovered on Monday that he can sit up all by his self for around 30 seconds to a minute at a time. I have been constantly holding him in a sitting position but never actually thought he would sit up on his own just yet since Paytyn didn't want to do it till he was seven months and already crawling. I guess I shouldn't under judge his abilities! He is also talking up a storm...its my favorite time when he will just tell me tons of stories as well as his smile. I also now am sure that he knows exactly who I am, if he is crying I can just talk to him now and he will just smile up a storm and anytime he sees me walking up to him he gets so excited, its such a wonderful feeling knowing that he really truely reconizes me and daddy! Finally he has also learned how to laugh and that tickling is a funny thing and not just an uncomfortable feeling. He is way ticklish under his neck and on his thighs!!!
Kayden came over Sunday afternoon to stay the night because his mom had to work and since Paytyn desperately needed a bath from camping all weekend I decided not to leave Kayden out and just let them have fun and play together.

We brought up the jumper from down stairs a few weeks ago and at first he really wasn't sure of it or why we would put him in it. But now he has it figured out, its a place for fun and to doze off to sleep

We just got home from Jaxson's appointment and Ryan let Paytyn out of the car to run around and he always darts straight for the street because he knows he is not supposed to go there and we always run after him(he thinks its a game i guess). Well Ryan picked him up like this and Paytyn was laughing so I snapped a quick picture!
Kayden came over this last week for a play date and as soon as he walked through the door and saw Jaxson he got so excited and tried to hold him. So we had him sit on the couch and he was so cute, he gave him kisses and tried to give him his binki!
Paytyn I think gets jealous that Jaxson gets to suck on a binki and that he never did so he will steal it out of his mouth when he gets the chance or pick it up and suck on it. Then he always gives me this cute(I know im not suppossed to be doing this)smile!
