Jaxsons 6 Month Checkup

On Wednesday Jaxson had his 6 month checkup and shots and I forgot my camera so I decided that putting him on my scale at home would still be cute though! He now weighs 17 lbs even and is 26 1/4 inches long. He is now in the 42nd percentile for weight which means he is starting to even out and slim down a bit :) He recieved his two shots and it was funny because I was talking to him trying to distract him from the shots and the first one went in and out and he was smiling the whole time but then the second one went in and he must have felt that one cuz it was not till then that he started to cry! Although he is such a tough boy that he litterally only cried for about 5 seconds and it was over just after I picked him up! He has a high tolerance for pain I assume :). The doctor did tell us that both boys had ear infections so he gave us ammoxicillin to give them which they both love so we pray that it helps! Lets see Jaxson now sits us extremely well without having to use his hands for support(its now all in the back and ab muscles). He has also started to skoot around and he can lift his bottom high in the air but were still working on him crawling, I anticipate he will crawl within the next month if he sticks to when his brother did! He now again sleeps through the night from 9 to 9 and if he does happen to wake up its usually around 10 or 11 because his binki fell out of his mouth and I found that if I just put it back in he will fall back to sleep on his own. Which now means that I no longer need to breastfeed him at night anymore(for now at least, I know all too well that things change on a dime)! Emily and I took the boys to the pool for the first time this year about a week ago and they both LOVED it! Paytyn was trying to mimic his cousin Kayden who was jumping off the side to his mom but he doesn't know how to jump just yet so he would just walk right off the side into my arms and then laugh up a storm it was so cute! I think all of us can't wait to take them back real soon!!!

Ribs and Random

I made ribs for dinner last night and I must say that I make the BEST ribs for sure but this was Paytyns first time eating them and he LOVED them! I took this picture before he was finished and by the time he was done the bone was completely bare, I even had a hard time prying the bone from his fingers because he loved them so much!
Paytyn thinks he is still a baby sometimes and like to climb in the swing and swing :)

Daddy and Jax

I Love them so much!

We all went camping this past weekend up on Jason's property and we did something I nev
er in a million years thought I would do yet alone enjoy! Emily and I went through this mud puddle trying to get muddy but the first time we tried no one seemed to get very muddy so we weren't expecting to get much muddier but we like blondes forgot to put the atv's in four wheel drive and we both got stuck a bunch of times splashing mud everywhere before we figured it out! Then once we figured out that that was the way to get muddy we decided to turn off the four wheel drive to get stuck and get eachother muddy but funny thing was when we turned it off neither one of us could get stuck again lol! So i told her to hold the brake and press on the gas knowing that that would spin the tires and completley cover us in mud however she didn't do it for some reason so I went around and got in front of her and laid it on her :) Thats why she is so much more covered then me! She wanted to get me real good after that but unfortunately there was no time left.....
This is just a video Ryan recorded of Paytyn and I dancing! (I know I look dumb but Paytyn looked cute so I decided to share, just don't mind me!)

Jaxson and Real Food

So when Jaxson turned 5 and half months old I decided that it was time to introduce solids to him once a day to how he liked it! Well at first I was giving him foods mixed with rice cereal and boy did he not like it at all...I was actually worried thinking that he was going to be a picky eater since I was so lucky with Paytyn taking so well to solids but then I figured out that he just does not like rice cereal! Not sure if its the texture or taste but he completely hates it! Anyways so I started giving him it plain out of the jar and he has gone to town on most of the new foods as you can see in the picture, that jar was full and he downed it :)! He has loved carrots and sweet potatos so far, he is not sure yet of bannanas or apples and is debating whether he likes squash!
Here are two videos of him eating, the first is the first time he tried solids with out the rice cereal and boy did he go to town! The second video is of him getting all excited and dancing after each bite I would give him, it was so funny had to share but of course when the camera was on him he didn't do it the full way he was doing it before but its still cute!
